During a recent inspection, Minister for Public Works E.V. Velu was joined by Collector K. Tharpagaraj to review the progress of this vital project. The bridge, which is being built by State Highways in collaboration with Southern Railway, is set to include several features aimed at enhancing user experience and safety: - Length: 70 meters - Height: 6 meters - Width: 20 feet - Accessibility: Equipped with staircases, escalators, and two lifts on either side, each capable of accommodating 13 individuals. - Disability Access: Ramps will be constructed, and wheelchairs will be available for persons with disabilities. - Safety Measures: The bridge will be outfitted with LED lighting, CCTV cameras, and steel railings to ensure a secure environment for all users.
K. Anbarasu, Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) from State Highways, confirmed the installation of high steel pillars on both sides of the railway track, which are essential for supporting the new structure.
