Scheduled from April 7 to May 8, this workshop aims to spark the imagination of young participants while enhancing their artistic skills and personal development.
During a press conference held on March 14, Rangayana's director, Sujata Jangamshetty, unveiled the goals of the workshop, emphasizing its focus on nurturing children's creative talents and fostering a deeper understanding of theatre arts. The workshop is designed not just as a learning experience, but as an enriching journey that will help children grow in confidence and skills.
S.K. Rajkumar, the workshop director, highlighted the array of activities planned for participants. The program will cover essential theatre skills, including: - Acting - Storytelling - Clay modelling - Singing - Paper cutting art - Painting
In addition, children will enjoy screenings of short films tailored for their age group. An exciting aspect of the workshop is its emphasis on safety. Participants will receive training in basic fire safety and road safety guidelines, equipping them with essential life skills. Furthermore, the program includes field trips to significant cultural and historical sites around Kalaburagi, providing children with a chance to learn outside the classroom.
The culmination of the workshop will feature a live stage performance, allowing children to showcase their newly acquired talents to family and friends, marking an exciting conclusion to their month-long experience.
Rangayana is accepting applications on a first-come, first-served basis for the first 150 children aged 5 to 16 years. Dr. Jangamshetty noted that interested participants need to submit their application forms along with: - Two passport-size photographs - Photocopy of the birth certificate - Aadhaar card
